Hi Guys, like the title says, I would like to offer you my seiko 6139-7080 for sale!
In the late 60's and 70's seiko made some really sick watches! Crazy style were produced and today those watch are still as if not more popular and way more nicer than those new version chronograph I find!
Circa 1977, this seiko 6139-7080 hexagonal shape is a must have in any chronograph collection. The case is in stainless steal with a rhodium gray/bronze dial that looks just amaaazing when in the light because it seems to change from gray to bronze depending on the angle you are looking at! the Dial is in amazine condition with patina on the markers! Hands have no chip (which is pretty rare on vintage chrono's) and the hands are original with patina matching the markers! the tachymeter is black with all numbers on it and no scratch nothing! The second hand faded with time to a darker orange. The hardlex glass have few scratch but is the original dial! It has a light scratch of half a centimeter above the 5 o'clock marker and a small ding on the corner of the glass beside the 2 o'clock marker. The case has some mild desk scuff on it... I pretty sure the previous owner polished the watch since I can see on the clasp it was polished a few years ago.. It is the original seiko bracelet!
The watch keeps really good time and haven't seen it loosing time since I've had it! Both chronos works just fine and all reset to zero! The day date wheels works without any issues and the quickset crown works like a gem setting the date on the first push and the day of the wheel when pushing it deeper! The chrono pushers work really well and are firm and do not stick!
The movement is clean and absolutely no signs of rust or anything! I do not recommend putting the watch underwater since I haven't tested the watch for water resistant.
To be honest this is an amazing version of the seiko 6139 models! he watch is elegant and clean, working with any kind of outfit! It's a must have in a collection!
The reason i'am selling the watch is mostly because I have another watch project I want!
I'am offering you this amazing retro vintage piece for 725$
If you have question please ask!
