I have been asked to sell this watch, which is in my possession for a week to make sure it's keeping time.
Specs:
Zenith Auto movement
Case diameter with crown is 36mm
Lug width is 18mm
Top of lug to lug height is 40.8mm
Watch head is original, plexi is original and has some scuffs on it but for a watch of this age ,it's nothing catastrophic.
Case back is solid gold, not plated.
Movement was serviced - however, as it's sat in a desk drawer for a year or so the rotor is noisy. Full disclosure - it holds power but you do hear the rotor swirling around. I am not gutsy enough to oil the bearing on the rotor, so take it as it is.
The strap is leather new replacement, buckle is plated gold - not original.
I was asked to sell it for $500 + actual shipping - which is the scrap gold value of the watch.
It would be a shame to scrap it, so I offer it here.
If you have questions, ask away. Unfortunately as I've mentioned, the price is not negotiable. If I can't get $500 plus shipping for it in a week or so then it goes to scrap and I'll be sad, but $ is $.
