Background
  • Buren's 1940s/early 50s first attempt at an automatic caliber using a "pendulum bumper" to wind the main spring.
    • Very interesting "dawn of automatic watches" technology that was supplanted by Buren's micro rotor.
  • Runs when agitated!
  • Beautiful blued hands
  • To be clear, this is a project watch and it needs (at a minimum):
    • Service.
    • Crown and stem (missing, can't adjust hands).
    • New case - one lug was really broken and then badly repaired.
  • Came to me, as all the best ones do, in a poorly photographed bulk auction lot I bought for another watch.
    • This one is project I just don't have time for.
  • Please ask any questions
Offered at a negotiable price or trade for something interesting. These seem to have high asking prices for movements on ebay but they don't transact much.

Price & Logistics:
$400 + shipping

Payment by etransfer or cash.

Happy to ship at buyer's expense using Flagship (or Canada Post, if that exists), tracked and full value insured. Will consider F2F in specific parts of Toronto (schlepping around this place is a PITA).

CWC feedback here and here; I've sold 50+ watches and parts on eBay with 100% positive feedback.
