The Seamaster DeVille lineup had quite a few dial variations. The dial on the watch I am selling is one of the less common and most unique examples I’ve seen. It’s a Norman Morris dial featuring a concentric circular pattern design in a fantastic champagne colour.
Solid 14k gold bezel and stainless steel case. This is a front loading or monocoque case and the movement has to be removed through the front of the case, which I haven’t done as I do not want to risk damaging the dial.
The watch has an automatic movement. The previous owner informed me that the movement is a cal. 563, reference KM6068 with serial number in the 33,xxx,xxx range which would date the watch to approximately 1971. The watch winds smooth and keeps time but I am unsure of the service history.
The crystal has a crack near the 11 o’clock marker that is visible when viewed from an angle. An easy replacement for a watchmaker, or leave as is since it’s not overly noticeable when the watch is looked at straight on.
