See pics. Watch is 30 cm in diameter, small by our standards but some 75 yrs ago, it was the norm. These models have some unique Canadian history as they were cased in Canada to avoid tariffs and mostly sold to service men who depended on an accurate trustworthy timepiece when they were putting their lives at risk fighting WW2. This one is a recent local find and has been well cared for over the last seven or eight decades. Dial looks good, but the numbers have probably been relumed. Stainless case is in nice condition. Winds and sets easily and keeps good time. These watches have the famous Tudor 59 17 Jewel movement and I got my watchmaker to remove the back and took a pic so I would not cause any additional scratches or dings. I have mounted this watch on a brown nylon strap to give it a better military look (see 2nd pic) as the expansion bracelet it had was too small for most potential customers.
Where else are you ever going to get a working Rolex for less than a grand ? Looking at $900 plus shipping/insurance. Hopefully there is someone who will appreciate it here and give it a positive future. Feel free to pm me for further information.
