This piece is both art, history and innovation.
This is a selfish watch. Not your everyday Monaco, but one to own, stash away and be proud of. True mint models are now auction pieces.
The model dates back to +/-2010. No idea when this one was purchased as it has been separated from its warranty card. Long past warranty in any case.
Only the hour totalisator is typical... the rest was innovation for the time.... still ultra cool.
What takes the cake is the bracelet. It is micro adjustable by rotating a wheel near the clasp. It must have cost a fortune to produce!
With the micro adjust all the way in it is slightly loose on my near 7.5" wrist. It also has one extra link in the box. I am assuming that all OEM links are present, but I cannot be sure....
The watch arrived with some small dings in the massive bezel. I have had the watch lightly refreshed to restore the shine, but not to remove much steel. I have seen this model so polished that the TAG HEUER script and logo on the lower portion of the bezel has been polished out. There are a few high edge crystal chips on the thick beveled crystal.
It is a MASSIVE AND HEAVY watch. It feels almost like a defensive weapon on the wrist. Big and bold and thick and truly indiciative to the time it was built.
I am pricing it at $5555 shipped by overnight anywhere in Canada. Everything works like it is supposed to. No service history, but visual 24 inspection shows it running well. (hard to hack to the second).
You may get one chance at one of these in Canada... especially with the unique and beyond incredible bracelet.
