Grouping together the vintage watches that I haven't yet sold...previous individual listings of these watches will be deleted.
Took some better pictures as well. Please note that I am selling all of these watches together for $250. One fine price for four great watches to jump start your vintage collection or to keep it ticking (see what I did there?)
1st watch - A vintage Mortima. If you look closely at the dial, you will notice the phrase "Antimagnetic" above the beautiful sub seconds dial. Why is this important? Well, Moritma was a French company and if you don't parlez Francais, you won't be confused when you gaze down at your wrist and see written English adorning the watch. Unilingual English readers/writers who stop you in the street to ask you about your beautiful watch will also not be confused, just impressed with your fine timepiece.
2nd watch - A vintage Timex made in Great Britain. Why is this watch cooler than a yeti on vacation in Siberia? Well, this is a pretty simple one really. Timex recently reissued the 1965 Marlin which is selling for a whopping 300 dollars before tax on their website. Demand for this watch has been strong, oh yes. Now imagine yourself pulling up to a red light and the guy in the lane next to you is rocking a reissue 2017 Timex and you....well you pretty much have the real deal. Who wins the drag race when the light goes green...that’s right, you. Perhaps that is why this watch comes on a green strap. Probably.
3rd watch - A vintage Oris. I shouldn't have to explain why this watch is cool but I will anyways. Actually I won't. But what I will say is that Oris watches were the predominately featured watch throughout the critically acclaimed television series The Sopranos. If Tony knows why Oris is cool, hopefully you can figure it out too. For those of you that really were into the Sopranos, you are right, Tony was a Rolex guy. But Vito had an Oris and I liked Vito.
4th watch - A vintage Citizen Newmaster Parawater. Made in 1970. Also made in the 1970s? The Post-It Note, the floppy disk (or is it disc?) and the barcode. Thats right, this Citizen watch might have certainly probably not really had much to do with those other things. But still, "Parawater"...could you figure out a more bad&%* way to say waterproof? (Parawater means waterproof). Me neither.
Thank you for reading....these watches are fun and I hope they go to a good owner!
