Accuracy: +/- 5 Sec. Per Year (Enhanced GS Cal. 9F62)

The GS manual lists this Grand Seiko as an enhanced version of the Cal. 9F62 which keeps +/- 5 sec. per year accuracy

For comparison: a mechanical COSC certified chronometer watch only keeps −4/+6 sec. per day accuracy.

From notes on the accuracy of the watch from the manual:

"This watch is an enhanced version of the Cal.9F62 which is specifically designed to keep the annual loss/gain within 5 seconds, while the annual loss gain loss/gain of conventional - type Cal.9F62 is within 10 seconds."

Grand Seiko 50 Anniversary - SBGX075 - Special Features

Special Features:
The 5-point star at 6 o'clock on the dial symbolizes the highest accuracy Grand Seiko available with a hand matched quartz crystal to the hand assembled cal. 9F62 providing ± 5 seconds per year.

The 3 o'clock position is decorated with an 18 K Yellow Gold Grand Seiko 'lion coat of arms' and has the inscription 50th Anniversary.

The hour indices are diamond-cut and precision polished mounted on a frosted silver/white dial specific to this special edition.

The case back is inscribed with the serial number of 500 pieces and "50th Anniversary 1960-2010" commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Grand Seiko line.

Includes commemorative Grand Seiko Blue outer/inner boxes and manuals with 50th Anniversary markings and logos.
