SOLD 1963 Omega Seamaster 30 Manual - $690 CAD +options, OBO

Feeling that my Seamaster 30 will not be getting the wrist time it deserves next to my Seamaster de Ville and incoming manual-wind chronometer, I would like to find it a loving new owner while subsidizing my latest purchase.

SPECIFICATIONS
  1. 17-Jewel hand-wind Cal. 286 movement produced in-house by Omega: a highly reliable and easily-maintained mechanism from the same lineage as the legendary Cal. 30T2 movement
  2. Reference 135.003-62-SC
  3. Quintuple-signed (buckle, movement, caseback, dial, crown)
  4. Case width 35mm (37mm including crown)
  5. Lug width 18mm

CONDITION
  • Crystal: Excellent
  • Case: Very Good+ considering 54 years age; has never been polished, so the edges are sharp as they were back in 1963. Crown has some small dings that can be polished out if desired.
  • There is a faint code lightly ("V964MP"?) scratched into the caseback - again, easily removed through polishing
  • Movement: running but not serviced; current accuracy is approx. 30s/day
  • Strap: Brand new genuine leather. For $70 extra I will throw in a NOS Omega-branded *genuine crocodile* strap [shown in end pictures].
  • Buckle: Excellent
  • Original dial: Excellent, all markings intact, professionally cleaned by watchmaker but never refinished or repainted. Very light dot patina.
  • Brand new NOS dial currently installed
  • Unfortunately, I don't have box or papers.

Q: Why did you buy a NOS dial if the original is in such great condition?
A: I had no idea the dial was in such great condition based on seller photos, and ordered the NOS dial while the watch was in transit from Europe.

OPTIONS
  1. $690: watch + NOS dial
  2. $760: watch + NOS dial + Omega-branded genuine crocodile strap
  3. $890: watch + NOS dial + full professional servicing by Omega-certified watchmaker (invoice provided as proof)
  4. $960: watch + NOS dial + full professional servicing by Omega-certified watchmaker (invoice provided as proof) + Omega-branded genuine crocodile strap

PAYMENT OPTIONS
  1. Interac eTransfer - if you have a trusted acquaintance in Winnipeg, I can meet them at the Post Office and get the password from them right before shipping the watch.
  2. In-person (Winnipeg; I am also flying to Toronto in mid-October for a conference... and Calgary over Christmas break)
Due to the risk of credit card companies overriding PayPal Buyer Protection in the event of a scam chargeback, I will not accept this payment method.
