For sale is a lovely Nomos Tangente 35mm. It wears much bigger than 35mm, closer to 37-38mm if you ask me. Noticeably larger than my father in-law's Datejust, for example. The watch comes with the box, the Nomos book (that has the registration and warranty info in it - this one is all blank), and either a Medium or Small sized strap in black (your choice.) This watch is being sold in AS-IS condition, due to a few issues I will highlight:
- the bottom right lug, is ever so slightly not-straight. It goes just a little bit outward. Do you notice this daily? I don't. But if you look for it and want to see it, it's there.
- there is a few very slight scuffs on the crystal inside of the seconds subdial. Very hard to notice unless the light hits it just right. Don't notice this unless I'm driving or in the sunlight, and it hits that exact spot.
- a piece of lint near 7-8 o clock from the last service is trapped under the dial. Will be easy as pie to remove next time the watch is opened.
- the watch needs a service most likely, as it doesn't fully wind, or hold it's power reserve longer than 8 hours or so. Keeps great time still, and is wearable, but needs a service.
- there's a pretty good scuff/scratch near the crown. Probably something that can be taken care of when you get it serviced if you so choose. I think it looks kinda cool, but I'll leave that up to you.
- regular surface scratches everywhere else, nothing remotely bad or deep etc.
I'm choosing to sell this watch at a reduced price, and you can take your time and decide what you want to do. I'd definitely get the movement serviced, and the winding/power reserve issue resolved, but the cosmetic issues can definitely wait if you so choose. In daily wear, they're hardly noticeable, and this in-house beauty just shines on the wrist. Or you can have it all done in one shot - either way, this is the most cost-effective way to get into a piece of German quality that Nomos brings. It is an absolute JOY to wear this watch.
