I purchased the SpeedMaster new when I as stationed in Europe in the late 1980's. I really don't know much about this watch, I just liked the way it looked and bought it.
The watch is a triple-date dual tone model with 18K gold bezel, bracelet links, crown and chronometer buttons.
It has only been serviced once about 10-years ago. It keeps perfect time and all functions work flawlessly.
There are no dings or deep scratches, only some light surface swirls. It could benefit from a light polishing to bring it back to as-new condition.
The bracelet has been sized for my wrist and I have the original additional links which are included with the sale. There's virtually no bracelet stretch.
Sadly, I no longer have the box or papers.
As far as price goes, I have yet to see another example exactly like mine. I do know that a new Omega Speedmaster triple date with gold bezel goes for over $10K.
I would be pleased if I could get $5500 for it.
I'm also interested in interesting trades... Rolex, Panerai, Vacheron, etc.
Cheers
