Hi there,
I've got a few vintage pieces I'm looking to sell. Saving for a speedy and just looking to do a whole lot upgrade.
From Toronto so I much prefer F2F meetings. If you're looking to have me ship it these prices do not include shipping or PayPal fees. If using Paypal for payment, please add another $100 to the total.
Prices are negotiable (within reason) or better offer. Open to trades, looking for a clean Tudor Oysterdate from the 1970s-1980s or vintage Tudor/Omega chronographs or divers. Or just take them all and give me a Speedy (if only...).
If you have any questions please let me know!
1. Clebar Chronograph - $900 CAD
This is a unique piece that was purchased from a popular instagram seller. It's from the 1960s and was made by Heuer when Heur was white labeling their watches. It's powered by a Landeron 248 movement. Keeping great time and the chrono function works as expected. It's chrome plated so it does show some slight aging around the lugs and bottom of the watch.
Full disclosure, this is a bit of a mysterious piece as the dial does state "T" for tritum but the dial and hands are totally sterile. Upon looking at it with a high powered loupe, there seems to be no signs of tampering. It is assumed that this watch came from the factory as a sterile piece without the tritium on both the hands and dial. The price reflects this compared to market prices found elsewhere.
Head only, no strap. Or if you like the strap add $50. It's handmade by yours truly.
2. Heuer 2000 - $800 CAD
This is a Heuer manufactured diver from 1984. This is genuinely a rare piece as it was only in product for about a year and a bit. Well documented on the great Heuerville blog here. This watch marked the great transition from Heuer into the aquisition by Tag. Not many of the Heuer labelled 2000's can be found in the wild anymore.
This was found locally on Kijiji of all places. This watch was once sent to be serviced by Tag Heuer so it seems that the crown is a Tag Heuer crown rather than a Heuer crown. The bezel works and clicks perfeclty. The watch is powered by the reliable 973.006 swiss quartz movement.
Comes with Tag Heuer original stainless steel band.
3. Citizen Alarm Diver - $950
A diver and an alarm watch, that's something you don't see everyday. This is a stainless steel diver that rings like a cricket. The movement is keeping time well and the alarm function works perfectly as well. This is truly a piece you won't see regularly. Unfortunatley this one never got much wrist time. This ones also got the date if that's your thing!
Full disclosure, the indicie at 12 o'clock seems to be ever so slightly crooked, this is possible due to age or manufacturing. Besides that the watch seems to be in it's original state and I'm unable to see any signs of tampering. The tritium on the hours hand has come apart.
More on the watch can be read here: click here for link to article.
Zulu nato included.
4. MIL W 46374 - $250 CAD
A vietnam era military isssued Hamilton MIL-W-46374. This was bought directly from an American veteran seller. The watch even comes with the original strap (not picture here). The crystal was replaced with a higher quality domed crystal as the previous one was breaking. The H3 Tritium is still intact on the watch hands (though no lume remains due to age and half life decay, or whatever. I'm no scientist).
This is a real cool budget piece that has some histroy.
Grey nato strap included.
5. Caravelle (Bulova) Diver 666 - $850 CAD
This is a nearly NOS Caravelle devils diver from the 1960s-70s. This was purchased by a lot of GIs during the Vietnam war. This was purchased from the daughter of a watch maker who had used the watch for donor
watch parts. It's in it's unmolested state with only a few very very minor scratches and knicks. It's looks like a brand new watch with it's mirror finish on the sides of the watch. The unique shape gives it that 70's vintage feel. The Rolex explorer numbers are also very attractive. The oyster band is an after market piece and comes with the watch.
Oyster band included.
