Up for grabs is a mint condition, partially stickered Breitling Avi Chrono ref Y233801A1B1A1
Taking design cues from the ref. 765 AVI, this iteration honours the Mosquito aka the “Wooden Wonder” that outperformed its metal contemporaries to become one of the fastest planes built between 1940 and 1950, having been built using wood at a time when steel and aluminum were in short supply.
Deapite is 42mm measurement, it wears closer to a 40mm presence on wrist owing to the shorter lug to lug of 48mm, it also has a thickness of 14.7mm
The mix of high polished and brushed surfaces provide a luxurious and no nonsense aesthetic
A detail I truly appreciate, as it requires you to get intimate with the watch and dial, is the Longitude/Latitude co-ordinates etched at 6, which denotes the brands HQ/Manufacture location in La Chaux-de-Fonds
In mint condition, a term I rarely use, it can be gifted to yourself or someone else, and comes paired with the bracelet option instead of the standard leather.
The watch comes as a full kit, stickered with box, papers, warranty card, tag and extra links.
