Hey folks,
Up today I have my 14060m teenager of a submariner, often referred to as the best version Sub ever.
The watch is in used condition and comes with everything seen in the pictures.
With its share of scratches, scuffs and a spattering of minor flea bites, this was clearly a watch that was enjoyed not abused, which makes sense coming from a generation that wore their watches as opposed to preserving them
The 14060m comes in two iterations, one being the sparse two liner, and this “Superlative Chronometer” version with 4 lines of text.
The movement housed inside both were the same, with the only significant difference being that one model was submitted for COSC certification and the other was not - you can see which one you’re getting here.
In terms of wearability, legibility and balance, this is as daily as it gets. The bracelet has a bit of flex, though this one’s a bit modified as the previous owner removed one of the fixed links at 6o’clock to accommodate a smaller wrist. The link is still included and this undertaking was done by Rolliworks, who confirmed that this is completely reversible. Heres a post to explain what was done and how.
Oyster bracelet too long? Removal of permanent link explained.
The bracelet is still sizeable at the 12 o clock side and is currently fitted for my 7.5” wrist.
M
Powering the watch is the cal. 3130 movement which has been the heartbeat inside generations of submariners leading up to 2020.
The lug holes on the case, are a much needed and welcome inclusion for a strap monster such as this sub and make for an easy swap from bracelet to leather or nato.
The watch comes with the original card, manual, extra links, anchor and box
Asking $11,499 shipped from the GTA for this example.
