Up for grabs is a veritable unicorn of a watch with a tremendous amount of heritage.
We have been lucky to have this model up for grabs on the forum before and here it is once more, freshly serviced this year at the manufacture for the discerning collector.
With a limited count of only 50 pieces being offered per continent for the Americas, Europe and Asia, the opportunity to own such an elegant, wearable and under the radar piece, is as rare as the watch itself.
This is numbered 25/50 and is part of series II, denoted on the dial.
At everyone’s favourite size of 40mm, it is neither commanding nor obtrusive on wrist
The sunray dial comes alive when kissed by sunlight, showcasing some brownish hues.
The watch is in excellent condition for being 21 years old as it has been worn with care and did I mention, freshly serviced in 2024.
There are some minor hairlines on the bracelet and case back, though nothing vulgar.
The bezel and crystal are immaculate and this model was the one that started the sapphire bezel craze.
Included is everything you see in the picture from the massive outer box, the display flashlight/stand, manuals, warranty booklet, service pouch, all parts from servicing, rubber dive strap, strap changing station with the requisite tools, extra links and the BP microfibre cloth
Aside from the recent service, it also received a service as of 2017
The lume is something of a torch rendering its legibility, off the charts.
Currently sized for my 7.5” wrist, there are about 2-3 links available in the pouch.
With the next closest comparable at over 33k, you can revel in the fact that you are one of the lucky 150 owners worldwide to wear and appreciate this beauty, fortunate enough that the last few owners decided to keep it within our borders.
