Available for sale today is this 2 liner Rolex Submariner 5513. The watch is an L serial dating it to 1988, the second to last year of the 5513 production cycle. This piece is sold as watch only and comes fully linked.
This example of the 5513 has an overall condition that is good for a 36 year old watch. Case is still sharp and some bevel along topside of the lugs is still apparent, coronet on the clasp is still completely raised. Overall there are surface level scratches throughout with smaller pits on the sides of the case. There is an angular ding on the underside of the left lug at 7 o’clock. The domed plexiglass crystal is in good shape with no significant marks to declare, some tiny scratches that likely could be buffed out with a little polywatch and some elbow grease. Part of the lume fell from the minute hand and was professionally removed. The watch is keeping excellent time. The bezel insert is in overall good condition and the pip at 12 remains intact with a slight patina. Overall I’d rate this a 7/10 condition.
This watch was previously listed here a few months ago with additional photos. No changes in condition (due to very little wear) other than the missing lume on the minute hand.
And a video taken today of the watch can be seen here.
Pricing at $11,500 F2F in Victoria or + Insured shipping at cost
Would also consider a trade for the Omega Seamaster 300 Bronze Gold.
