Ulysse Nardin Christopher Columbus Discovery Set: 18K Rose Gold
The Ulysse Nardin CC Discover Set includes 3 timepieces commemorating each of the 3 vessels used by Christopher Columbus during his exploration voyage starting in the year 1492. The timepieces are all crafted out of 18k rose gold and are beautifully presented in a single 3 porthole mahogany box. There were only 25 sets made and come complete with original box, papers and COSC certificates. The set is number 25 of 25 which each watch has a number plate on the side of the watch.
1. Marine Chronometer (Nina) Ref. 266-77
18k rose gold case with coin edge bezel, fitted with anti-glare sapphire crystal. Flat black dial with centralized luminous hour and minute hands, large sub-seconds hand, magnified Cyclops date and power reserve indicator. Gold Arabic markers with luminous dots and minute track. The case has a screw down locking crown and sapphire exhibition case back displaying UN calibre 26 COSC certified chronometer. The movement is nicely decorated with Perlage and features 28 working jewels with a 22kt gold rotor. The case measures 38mm diameter by 11mm height and is water-resistant to 200m. Fitted with an original Ulysse Nardin alligator strap with 18k tang style buckle. Limited to 25 pieces.
2. Marine Diver (Pinta) Ref. 266-58-3
18k rose gold case with numerical divers rotating bezel, fitted with anti-glare sapphire crystal. Flat black dimple dial with oversize, skeleton luminous hands centered. Features a large sub-seconds hand, magnified Cyclops date, power-reserve indicator and placed luminous markers. The 40mm case features a screw-down locking crown and sapphire exhibition case-back. The movement is UN calibre 26 COSC certified chronometer decorated in Perlage, with 28 working jewels and 22kt gold rotor. Case is water-resistant to 300 meters and is fitted with a Ulysse Nardin black rubber strap with 18k gold accents and double folding clasp. Limited to 25 pieces.
3. Annual Calendar Chronograph (Santa Maria) Ref. 516-22
18k rose gold case with coin edge bezel and anti-glare sapphire crystal. Flat black dial with centralized luminous hour and minute hands, gold Arabic numerals and luminous minute track. Features an annual calendar displaying a large big date at 12 and month aperture between 4 and 5 O’clock position. The chronograph displays a 30 minute and 12 hour totalizer with centralized 60 second timing hand. Case measures 40mm in diameter with a height of 14.2mm with sapphire exhibition case-back. It is water-resistant to 100 meters with a screw-down crown and pushers. The movement is UN calibre 51 decorated in Perlage with 43 working jewels and 22k rose gold rotor. Case is fitted with an original Ulysse Nardin black alligator strap with 18k tang style buckle. Limited to 25 pieces.
This is obviously a very rare and limited set and hardly ever offered for sale. The complete set in near mint condition and comes absolutely complete with box all papers and all certificates…
