Up for sale is my recently acquired and very lovely Tudor Sub ref. 79090. Serial dates this one to 1990.
The watch was purchased from a well known vintage dealer in MTL, Thillier Time through Chrono24. Receipt is included.
The ETA 2824-2 movement was serviced by their watchmaker and is keeping perfect time.
It was bought without the bracelet so I purchased a Tudor 78500 bracelet from Rolex service last week. Receipt and box included for the bracelet.
Rolex looked the watch over and confirmed it is running great and was indeed serviced.
Original tritium dial and hands are in amazing shape.
Case was probably polished at some point but lightly and is in great shape for its age.
Rolex branded crown and case back are intact.
The bi-directional aluminum bezel has a few marks but nothing major. The lume pip was replaced with a luminova pip. Rolex confirmed it is authentic, not sure how they know.
The bracelet is of course minty as it was worn for about a week.
The only knock against this watch is that there is some corrosion under the bezel which you can see through the domed plexiglass crystal. Only visible at certain angles and in very bright light. Rolex told me this is a very common issue with these watches and is only superficial and does not impact operation. The corrosion can be polished off during the next service or before if it really bothers you.
The watch is naked and includes the Chrono24 purchase receipt, a Tudor service pouch, the case for the bracelet with purchase receipt.
Watch photos taken in daylight to highlight the true condition.
Asking a very reasonable $7999 shipped, fully insured which is about what I have into it.
Thanks for looking!
