For sale here is something truly special.
Full set from 1978, Rolex 5513 Submariner Maxi dial Mk1.
I bought the watch from the original owner and it was an one owner watch, makes me the second owner. All original from top to bottom. Serviced from Otto Friedl in Vancouver in 2022. Not polished during service. Running to spec.
I was told from the original owner, he bought it in the late 70s as a college graduation gift for himself, we wore it all the way till early 2000s and it stopped working. It sat for many years till he finally had it fixed last year, it was a broken main spring, OEM Rolex spring was replaced by the watchmaker. He told me he never polished the watch and never serviced it till just before he sold it to me, it was just worn a lot when he was younger.
Signs of original finishing and bevels are still visible, lugs are very thick and even. One lug has a small ding on it (shows larger in picture as I want to capture it close).
Correct dial, hands, bezel, crystal, and bracelet for the era, date code matches the production year of the watch etc.
Definitely a rare collectors’ set.
$26500 (miles cheaper than any full set comps from chrono24) plus shipping at cost across Canada.
