Up for grabs is everyone’s favourite speedy, the “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th anniversary model.
This beauty is likely to be one of the last few available with a recent date on the card given how long they have been in production and the fact we are now at the dawn of the 55th anniversary. That being said, this is likely the best time to buy these models as historically, their inherent value is likely to increase in the next few years.
This powerhouse features the, Caliber 3861, with the upgraded Co-Axial escapement, METAS certified and antimagnetic to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.
Despite its 42mm diameter it wears more like a 41mm and boasts a domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal with AR coating.
The dial is made of Silver, stamped Ag925, with everyone’s favourite beagle at the 9 o clock sub dial.
The panda layout is incredibly legible and the nuances of the blue ceramic bezel, the blue dial furniture and handset, make this a watch that is unlike most on the market and not soon to be seen in the wild.
The quirkiest part of the watch is of course the caseback with the life-like moon imagery and the rotating earth.
Snoopy swings by in his lunar moon module for approximately 30 seconds when the Chronograph is activated upping the cool factor to 100
The watch is in new, never worn condition with no visible scratches or blemishes. Comes as a full kit, including box and all papers, dated a few days ago.
Since this one is unworn, the wrist shots are of my own speedy. The one on the custom strap is my own while the one on the original strap is the BNIB model. Wrist size for reference is 7.5”
