Hey folks
Up for grabs is a watch that has not likely been seen in the wild, mainly as it’s unbeknownst to most.
This ref R27070202 comes in at a square 38mm sizing and weighs in at a mere 118g
As a brand, Rado has dominated the Middle Eastern and Asian market and this model is a collaboration with New Delhi artist duo Thukral and Tagra.
They utilized the true square model as a template and fashioned a handset layout that is wildly unique and exemplifies the temporarity of our individuality while at the same time the importance of our connectedness to each other, displayed by the overlapping of the hands to create a kaleidoscope of colours that changes with the passage of time.
To aide legibility, there is lume on one portion of the upper and lower hand discs denoting the hour and minute hand - lume shot provided for reference.
The watch is fashioned entirely out of a blue ceramic, a material used frequently by the brand, right down to the bracelet
The watch is still stickered, unsized and unworn except for the pics and is under the balance of the factory warranty.
At 9.7mm, it is incredibly thin and wears comfortably on my 7.5” wrist.
Accuracy is quite good at +8s a day with the ETA based C07 movements that are the brand variants of the Power-Matic 80
The watch retailed at $3600
I’m asking $2750 in the GTA
