I’m parting ways with one of my favourite models from Omega.
This ref 210.22.44.51.01.001 boasts all the perfection of the SMP300, overloaded with a column wheel chronograph complication, and highlighted by the Sedna gold bezel, markers, handset, HEV and screw down crown, topped off with ceramic pushers.
It’s everything you would want your speedmaster to be, just beefed up and with a diving bezel, allowing you to time two simultaneous events.
The watch itself is in great condition with minor signs of hairlines on the polished areas from contact with fabric.
A couple of the scalloped edges show some rub marks, but nothing overt unless you zoom in.
At 44mm, this is not your average SMP300 and the gloss of the Ceragold bezel insert is a constant reminder of that.
While this normally would be a very weighty piece, the 21mm rubber strap makes it wear incredibly well on my 7.5” wrist.
Powering the watch is the cal 9900, keeping METAS accuracy at +1s/ day.
