Up for grabs is a rarely seen PAM00499 featuring the white dial with Arabic markers.
Quintessential Panerai featuring the 1950s case design, there are signs of wear to the case sides and bezel, which are restricted to superficial surface wear, easily buffed out.
While some might prefer a mix of brush and polish on their watch, the fully polished case to me, is part of the Panerai DNA. This also makes it rather easy to reverse the signs of aging, via a quick polish, if so desired.
At 44mm, the watch is large and in charge, just the way a Panerai is meant to be worn.
Featuring the P9000 movement, the watch boasts the most useful complication of a date, and my second favourite complication of a jumping hour hand; useful for travel or Daylight savings. The benefit of the sapphire case back is ever present, allowing a window into the well finished movement, a feature that is lacking on current models. The watch has likely been serviced in recent years as amplitude is well over 280 and accuracy is at COSC level of +3s/day
Handsome, bold, clean and legible, this PAM499 is sure to please the masses and add a bit of contrast to most collections.
Included is the triple box, warranty booklet, manual, tools, Birks warranty extension card, case protector, and extra strap.
