Hey folks

Up for grabs is a rarely seen president in 18k Rose Gold.

This is by far, the most easy wearing and somewhat less flashy option I’ve had the pleasure of wearing.

Coming in at 36mm on my 7.5” wrist, it’s always a bit of a contentious size but with the heft of the gold and the sparkle of the fluted bezel and gold, these issues tend to fade away, quickly.

The watch, unlike a lot of watches from the era, comes with the full links, currently sized loose for my 7.5” wrist and has one more link for additional sizing.
There are a total of 7 links with screws (including the clasp) or a total of 22 links not including the end links/clasp links.

The watch was procured from the original owners son, passed down from father to son, both of whom maintained the watch impeccably.

While it has been given a light polish in its 47 years, it still retains excellent lines.

It has received a routine service every 6 years from Time and Gold in Vancouver, with the latest being in August 2023, with warranty still running)

The past two service receipts are included along with an appraisal that was done at the previous service.

Running far better than most modern day watches, this 1556 caliber is running at 0 to +1s a day and an amplitude of 301.

The case and bracelet are in excellent condition, as the previous owner barely wore the watch, except on vacation and it shows. The caseback has some denting to it, which was likely a result of opening the caseback during service.

All lume plots light up when exposed for a short period and all present with one missing some material at the 7 position, essentially if I was only missing a bit of hair by the time I’m 47, I’d consider that a win, alas i have more missing than present….

Ultimately, if there was one Rolex to own, this, in my opinion, would be it.

Comparables are few and far between for these Rose Gold models since yellow gold was the hallmark of the era; as such I’m asking $19,995 OBO for this example.

Some select trades down can be considered given the value.

I’ll entertain some trades, maybe a Santos, maybe a speedy, maybe both? Try me
Oh and let’s make it more attractive at $19.2k
