For sale is an absolutely amazing Rolex 2940 Bubbleback from 1939. Manufactured at the start of Second World War, this one was equipped with the center track 24-hr markers.
The 30mm case is gold capped/plated and in overall good condition. There is a remnant of an engraving on the case back which has partially worn away. The reference and serial numbers were punched deep and are still clearly visible.
An aftermarket leather strap is equipped with a vintage plated Rolex pin buckle.
There is some fading to the center text on the dial. The numerals have radium lume.
I am also including a period-correct red Oyster box which is in remarkably decent condition. The pillow is missing.
The brochure is not included.
With a distinct lack of comparables on the market, I'm pricing this one at $5900 but I am prepared to listen to all offers.
